January 4th 2009 The new year fishing has kicked off red hot. Red snapper, red snapper and more red snapper. Along with the red snapper our king mackerel bite is insane. We are catching the kings one after another, however they have been traveling back and forth between a 50 mile stretch of water. If you are planning a half day trip. I suggest scheduling it for the afternoon, this way we can contact our friends that are already out fishing and we will know where or where not to go. We are also catching amber jacks while bottom fishing and cobias while trolling for kings. The shark fishing is very slow. Shark fishing probably wont be really good for a few more months.
