Port Canaveral, Cocoa Beach Fishing Report
Mar. 1st 2009 The snapper fishing continues to be phenomenal. We are catching nice size snapper along with a few grouper and cobia. The cobia are starting to show more frequently and soon we will be sight fishing for them. The king mackerel bite is still very good. The bigger 20 plus pound fish are not as frequent as last month but just yesterday we caught 6 kings over 20lbs. The mahi (dolphin fish) should start to show more toward the end of the month and should provide some awesome action while live bait trolling. Unfortunately the shark fishing the last few trips has been very poor. I do expect it to pick up as soon as the water temp raises a few more degrees.
