Feb 1st 2009 Cocoa Beach, Daytona, Orlando fishing report

Feb. 1st 2009 The waters off-shore of Cocoa Beach are loaded with fish right now. The fishing has been really good all of January but the last few days have been phenomenal. The king fish are still biting awesome, just yesterday we caught one that weighed 47lbs (smoker). The red snapper are still biting great and the grouper are really starting to show also. We are also catching several cobia & the occasional mahi while slow trolling for the kings. The cobias have also been following up the snapper while bottom fishing. When that happens we pitch a live bait to them on a spinning real and it is game on. We have been seeing several mana rays that have cobia with them. It is somewhat unusual to see the cobias with mana rays this early but I wont complain The shark fishing has been slow but if you ever want a chance to catch a sand tiger shark the time is now. Sand tiger sharks are considered a threaten species but we can catch them and release them unharmed. They are awesome looking sharks. They have brown patchy spots on them and their teeth stick out everywhere. We are averaging 1 to 4 tiger sharks per trip right now and they are between 125 to 200lbs 7 to 10 ft in length. If you are visiting Orlando, Cocoa Beach, or anywhere in the Space Coast area and you and your family/friends are looking to do something memorable and fun. Right now is the time to experience a awesome fishing trip. Give us a call at 321-794-3474 and talk to us about fishing. I am sure we can find a trip that is right for your group.
